The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 7 PM. Listed below are available scholarships. Be sure to adhere to deadlines.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Heller.

Park Ridge Rotary Charitable Foundation Scholarship 

Eligibility: Park Ridge HS seniors; based upon need, scholastic ability and contributions to the school and community. 
Apply: Rotary application
Deadline: application and all supporting documents must be received by April 15, 2017. Materials must be mailed to Ms. Hanlon (address on application). ** Application requires a transcript. Be sure to provide Guidance with a transcript release form at least 3 days in advance of when you need the transcript.  Student is responsible for providing all other documentation (test scores, attendance, activity sheet, etc.)​

Pascack Historical Society Ellen Berdais Memorial Scholarship 
Award: $2000 to a Park Ridge HS senior
Eligibility: A highly motivated student with financial need who has demonstrated good character throughout his or her high school years. It is not necessary for the student to be attending a 4 year college to be eligible for the scholarship as long as he or she is determined to further his or her education at a community college, trade school or some other institution of higher learning

Eligibility: seniors who are of Armenian heritage (proof is needed), live in Bergen County for at least one year, plan to attend a four-year college, and have an A/B average

Award: 3 $1000 scholarships
Eligibility: seniors pursuing a career as a registered, professional nurse through a state-accredited, baccalaureate program. Selection will be based on evidence of scholarship, merit, character and leadership

200 Club Essay Scholarship
Award: 2 $1,000 Scholarships
Eligibility: all high school seniors (Affiliation to Police, Fire or EMS is NOT necessary)

Eligibility: NJ college bound seniors of Asian Pacific American descent.

National Council of Jewish Women
Award: several $1000 scholarships
Eligibility: seniors who are Jewish women; will attend a 4-year college; financial need; high academic standing; involved in school activities and community service

200 Club of Bergen County
Eligibility: senior; a child or stepchild of an active, retired or deceased Bergen County law enforcement officer, fire fighter, or ambulance corps member.
Applicants may qualify on their own merit if they are members of the ambulance corps, police or fire auxiliary and have been so before September 1, 2016.
Criteria considered: community and civic involvement; academic (including SAT/ACT scores); financial need; service of the applicant or family member

You will need to provide a transcript, SAT/ACT report, and tax returns.

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome
Eligibility: NJ seniors who have been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome and plan to attend a college or trade school

The Columbians: An Italian-American Philanthropic Organization
Award: approximately 30 scholarships ranging from $1000 to $5000
Eligibility: seniors of Italian heritage; good academic standing; community involvement; financial need; and an essay concerning Italian heritage

Forward completed application, three (3) references, and a copy of your parents’ IRS Form 1040 to your School Counselor. If you prefer, you may mail financial information directly to the Columbians.

If you submit the application online via the Columbians’ website, then your counselor mails your transcript and documentation.

Award: $2,000 scholarships
Eligibility: seniors who plan to become school counselors or teachers. Students must have a minimum GPA of 85 and submit a statement on their need for financial assistance

Janet Logan Daily Foundation Scholarship
Award: $10,000 evenly disbursed over four years. Student must maintain a good academic standing throughout college (minimum 2.5 GPA) in order to receive funds. One award granted annually.
Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors from New Jersey enrolling full-time in an accredited university or college within the United States. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, actively participate in at least one extra-curricular activity, and must have worked an average of 30 hours per week during the summer since the age of 16. Financial need may be considered when selecting the recipient.
